KIDS AND YOUTH at Carnegie Presbyterian Church

Have kids? No worries, we've got you covered. Carnegie Presbyterian Churrch offers faith formation programs for kids who are 2 years old through 6th grade on Sunday morning. Your children will be in a safe environment at the New Hope Worship Center where they will learn about Jesus and have a fun time doing it.

Our children gather at 9:30am in the Children's Room just off the Worship space. This is a time to learn the Bible story, to share their thoughts, and to respond with learning activities that are vital to children's budding faith. Passing the love of Jesus on to the next generation is a core value at our Church.

Visiting us for the first time? No fear! Our congregation is family-friendly. If you need to stay with your children until they feel at home, we understand.

Children of all ages are welcome in worship. Our congregation loves children being a part of our family of faith. Older Youth and Teenagers regularly participate through our puppet ministry, leading worship, and sharing their musical talents.

PARENTS REMEMBER - it's OK if they grow restless (some adults do, too). It's OK if they try to leave your row or crawl under the seats - we have all been there. It's OK if you need to go to the Children's Room. It is set up so that you can still participate in worshipping God while your children play. It's OK -relax.

Don't ever feel embarrassed or intimidated by your child being a child. Jesus welcomes little children and so do we!!!

 Kids' Voices are Important. Trusting Young People with Leadership and Responsibility leads to a sense of Belonging and Inclusion. Early involvement fosters longevity.

 Biblical foundation is the cornerstone of our youth ministry. Purposeful teaching in topic and life application enhances spiritual growth. Spiritual growth is fostered in fun activities, safe spaces and age appropriate groups.

 Everyone is Appreciated and Celebrated. Our welcoming community promotes acceptance, joy and relationships. Sharing God's word with families and kids embraces diversity through participation and involvement.

 Action Brings Life to Intention. We will NOT simply give lip service to God's call to action.

 Clear communication is essential. Defining leadership, expectations, responsibilities and lines of communication lead to everyone being on the same page and moving in the same direction.

 Strong leadership utilizes tradition and responds to current and changing needs. Upholding traditions celebrates the rich history of our faith. Building on our past allows us to actively identify and address the future.

 All families deserve to be supported and nurtured. Under our Heavenly Father, we are all brothers and sisters in Christ providing care, encouraging growth and showing love.
