NEW HOPE

WORSHIP CENTER

a ministry of Carnegie Presbyterian Church

ABOUT US

The NEW HOPE WORSHIP CENTER provides CARNEGIE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH an open door between our congregation and our neighboring communities.

As Christians, we believe in the power of prayer.  God is always present and hears our desires.  Prayer also includes listening and seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit.   We are called to nurture the spiritual health of our congregation and our neighboring communities. Let us know how we can pray for you and your concerns.

At Carnegie Presbyterian Church, our call to nurture and inspire the physical well-being of our neighbors is lived out through support of other community non-profits such as:  Salvation Army, BRIDGE People, Food Bank at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, FREEStore 15106 and FREEFridge 15106.

OUR HISTORY

ADAPTATION IS OUR MIDDLE NAME

  1. In October of 2000, Carnegie Presbyterian Church was birthed  as a merger of two congregations from downtown Carnegie - First Presbyterian Church and Christ United Presbyterian Church
  2. The dream of a new contemporary worship space was realized in 2006 when the congregation moved to 23 beautiful acres on Ewing Road.
  3. During the 2020 Pandemic, while many churches were struggling, Carnegie Presbyterian Church thrived while gathering for worship and fellowship via Zoom.
  4. The years following the Pandemic found the congregation revising the call to mission to the neighboring communities, specifically Carnegie residents.
  5. With this new vision, the congregation sold the building "on the Hill" and moved temporarily into the LifeSpan Senior Center in October of 2022.
  6. With the closure of their church building, the Chartiers Valley United Presbyterian Church members joined in ministry with Carnegie Presbyterian Church expanding the ministry field to the Carnegie, Heidelberg, and Scott Township residents.
  7. In October of 2023,, our congregations moved into the NEW HOPE WORSHIP CENTER anticipating a deeper personal relationship with our neighborhood offering our call to nurture the spiritual health and physical well-being of our neighbors.
